Backcountry Babeways

In North Cascades National Park, on 35mm film

In the Alvord Desert and Steens Mountains

The maiden voyage along the Rogue River Trail - filled with rattlers, poison oak, bear cubs, riflin old men, and a grouse who was out for blood. Also the initial signage spotting that inspired for our babe gang name.

In the Goat Rocks Wilderness

If you can, find a group of rad babes who all enjoy backpacking into deep nature, sharing stories and fireside booze, and being vulnerable and emotional and non-egotistical and strong for one another all at the same time, you should hold them close to your heart… and go on as many ambitious and loosely planned adventures with them as possible. That’s how the Backcountry Babeways began, and there really isn’t an end in site.

I feel like the luckiest duck in the world to have a job that’s enabled me to be creative within the outdoors. Working as an art director for Columbia Sportswear has meant incredible adventures in wild places, with amazing people, making really dope things!
